This window began it's design as an accompaniement to an existing door. After some design rounds it expanded into a work on its own.
I never had a strong attraction to Frank Lloyd Wright's stained glass designs. However when approaching this project, I was
lucky to have a close friend send me pictures from Wright's Dana-Thomas house.
The homeowners had several colorful paintings and designs. Wright's playful incorporation of abstracted butterflies in the Dana-Thomas windows
inspired me to create a structure that recalled a kind of heavenly firmament,
especially with the position over the door.
