This window draws on the homilies of St. Gregory the Great, the 7th century Pope. He derived various allusions from the Book of Ezekiel, which in chapter 40 describes the new temple. The gate of the inner court facing North is for sinners coming in from the cold. I associated it with the sea and a variety of nautical stories from the Bible.
