glass and tile -- doors and woodwork -- illustrations -- paintings

Repairing stained glass windows is like copying an old master painting. From a time when these windows were produced and built into many of the homes, the craftsmen were designing and creating at their peak.

In many ways the difference between a stained glass window and a vinyl sign is no greater than in repair. A vinyl sign comes off the line perfect in many ways. But just a few months of exposure and it begins to look weathered and crooked, and there is no fixing it. A stained glass window on the other hand is really at its most beautiful after repair with slightly different glass and the evidence of the craftsman subtly presented.
